The purpose of the present study was to investigate “the effect of various field grounds on sprint values of athletes”. It is considered that field grounds can influence different motoric abilities. At the School of Physical Education and Sports in Afyon Kocatepe University, healthy and voluntary athletes including 20 men and 20 women were invited to this study. Sprint measurements were recorded on various fields as 5-meter, 10-meter, 15-meter and 30- meter sprint distances at the School of Physical Education and Sports in Afyon Kocatepe University. Measurements were obtained with a one-day interval on three different grounds in the order of synthetic grass field, tartan track and parqued flood field. The measurements were recorded through the photocell technique in the computer environment. Pulse values were controlled with a polar watch. In SPSS 20 program, obtained results were evaluated through Anova method at a level of significance of p<0,05. It was revealed that there were statistically significant differences at 5-meter, 10-meter and 30-meter speed ratings of various grounds at the levels of 0,05 and 0,01. It could be stated that environments minimizing the subsidence of ground affect speed positively. Keywords: Sprint, 30 m, Field Ground
